Players, the Reaper’s Game, ‘Erasure’…it was all so bizarre. Was that an understatement? Who knew. She didn’t know what to expect out of all this and she hoped that exploring her surroundings would shed some light to the situation. It was certainly better than trying to look for someone who could see her in the giant crowds Shibuya cradled. If she took into consideration how many could see her since the moment she woke up until now—the searching experience would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Eventually she found herself by the statue of a dog (if she remembered correctly from the thoughts she’d heard, the dog was called Hachiko). She hummed a certain tune as she took a moment to ease her mind. Finding out that you were basically a spirit walking among the living in a completely different city wasn’t the easiest of things to swallow. Humming helped soothe her. Despite all this, at least there was a silver lining—she had her voice back.

It was only a luminous afternoon in the city of Shibuya. To illustrate, students were dismissed from school, dog owners were speaking to other dog owners, children were running around - tapping each other’s shoulders with a rosy glow tinging the outline of their cheeks. Maybe, the pure enjoyment of nature was her punishment for being dead.  Only recently comprehending the message on her phone, the teen slumped herself near the Hachiko Statue; a masterpiece of the loyal dog that passed away in eight years from cancer. The story was tragic to say the least, but Hachiko always reminded her of her past and so, she kept her gaze straight and away from the sculpture. There was zero time for her mind to wander around aimlessly into the abyss ; she had to find another Player - to survive.

In her view was a whiff of vibrant crimson curls and an outfit that seemed…unique and proper, feeling. Though by her height and the body language, this woman seemed mature and an individual that isn’t seen often in a messy place like Shibuya. Further, the lady’s elaborate outfit immediately pierced her curiosity and now, there was no stopping the youthful fashionista. Before much could have been said, a smooth humming began to echo within the atmosphere and almost, just almost that this noisy capital seemed to quiet down with the impact of such a hushed tone.

“Wow miss, your humming is very…calming."

Flubbing in slight embarrassment, Shiki’s cheeks flushed out as she began fidgeting with her fingers, "A-Ah! I didn’t mean to be weird or anything. I just…haven’t heard such a voice like yours before! Take it as a compliment, I mean you don’t get that everyday, right?"
